Post Surgery…very sleepy.
June 2018 after another shunt revision, her stitches burst open one morning and CSF started running down her scalp and neck. It was the start of a disastrous summer.
Bacteria made its way into her shunt and she came down with a serious stomach infection and CSF fluid/shunt infection (Meningitis).
By October 2018 Naya had surgery number 29 and now has 2 separate VP shunts running from her brain into her abdomen.
There is no cure for Hydrocephalus. But we hope for better options to treat Hydrocephalus.
All donations through Naya’s page will go directly to Neurosurgery at BC Children’s Hospital. Thank you so very much!
