Naya was born at 28 weeks gestation – 3 months early. 2.5lbs. She was septic and we were told she wasn’t well. The first 24 hours were a struggle. She developed a brain hemorrhage and ultimately Hydrocephalus and a whole list of other health problems. But the sweetest angel of a baby.

3yrs later, Teya was born at 34 weeks gestation. 5.5 weeks early. 5.5lbs. But what a difference compared to her sister. No health problems. No hospital stay…..Healthy healthy healthy. And the loudest screaming baby I’ve ever heard.

Naya has spent 109 days in the NICU and the first 7 years of her life in and out of hospital. With 29 surgeries under her belt she is a true superhero. With her sassy little sidekick sister.

This website is dedicated to my 2 children – who give me the strength I never thought I had, and the patience I never thought I needed.  Our journey, our struggles, our emotions and most importantly, our love….
